DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions have done a very good job at protecting the football and staging late-game rallies. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been woeful in both of those categories.Thats why the Lions are tied for first place in the NFC North and the Jaguars are wallowing at the bottom of the AFC South.Detroit (5-4) will try to maintain at least a share of its division lead when it hosts Jacksonville (2-7) on Sunday at Ford Field.Quarterback Matthew Stafford has engineered fourth-quarter comebacks in all of the Lions wins. They stunned Minnesota 22-16 in overtime in their last game on Nov. 6 after the Vikings grabbed the lead with 23 seconds remaining. A long pass play set up a tying 58-yard field goal by Matt Prater, and Staffords 28-yard scoring pass to Golden Tate on the first possession of overtime finished off the latest comeback.Detroit tied for the division lead without breaking a sweat last weekend, as Minnesota lost to Washington. But the Lions have not won a division title since 2013, and Stafford is quick to temper rising expectations. You start to see some of the separation in November and December with these teams, he said. If you look at the big picture, it can be overwhelming. You just have to go week to week. Thats what I would tell our young guys -- dont look ahead.Another message hell like to convey: dont lose your grip on the ball. The Lions have committed just six turnovers and Stafford has a solid 18-5 touchdown-to-interception ratio while completing 67.3 percent of his throws.Im just trying to make the best decisions I possibly can, he said. Im not going to be perfect with it. I wish I had thrown that ball away a little better two weeks ago (on an interception at Minnesota).Theres still things I have to clean up but our guys have done a really nice job of fighting for the ball if its contested and a really nice job of running with the proper leverage and holding onto the ball securely. All that kind of stuff is key.It has been even more essential since Detroits defense has only generated seven takeaways. The Lions finished 26th in turnover margin last season.Thats obviously always something you stress, Lions head coach Jim Caldwell said. Sometimes there are tipped balls and things of that nature, but I still think you can keep it to a minimum. I think our guys are doing a good job of taking care of the ball right now, but thats a week-to-week thing, a week-to-week battle. The Jaguars have consistently lost that battle, ranking at the bottom of the league with a minus-14 turnover margin. Quarterback Blake Bortles has been picked off 11 times and theyve also lost eight fumbles.Jacksonville carries a four-game losing streak to Detroit. The Jaguars have come close the past two weeks, falling to Kansas City 19-14 and Houston 24-21.It all boils down to turnovers, Bortles said. Thats what weve talked about. These past two weeks, weve gotten better in the areas we wanted to, and its all come down to the turnovers and winning the turnover battle. Thats kind of where our focus is now.Theres a lot of good things weve done the past two weeks that have been overshadowed by not winning the game. Ultimately, we all know thats our goal and weve got to cut down on the turnovers.Embattled head coach Gus Bradley is trying to keep his team from dwelling on how its season has fallen apart. You try not to look back too much, he said. That can be dangerous and a waste of time. You need every minute of every day to prepare for the next opponent. The matchup Sunday will likely be decided through the air. Neither team has a running back that has rushed for 300 yards this season.Bortles has shouldered much of the blame for Jacksonvilles failures, but Caldwell is well aware that the third-year quarterback has thrown 51 touchdown passes in the past two seasons.Hes a fine young quarterback, Caldwell said. I think our expectations sometimes are a little bit out of whack. Taven Bryan Hoodie . The Croatian served 21 aces and hit 42 winners against Sijsling, who double-faulted to give Cilic a 4-3 lead in the deciding set. "All the players, they know me and they were really happy to see me and they were really happy that this is over for me," Cilic said. Leon Jacobs Hoodie . I cant pinpoint a date, but I do remember a player from my youth. Brian Downing was with the Chicago White Sox at a time when I listened to every game I possibly could on the radio. That particular season the late great Harry Caray was calling the White Sox games. . -- Tony Stewart is 20 pounds lighter and has a titanium rod in his surgically repaired right leg. Will Richardson Hoodie .Y. - New York City has been selected to host the NBA All-Star weekend in 2015, with the game played at Madison Square Garden and the slam dunk contest and other skills events held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Authentic Jaguars Hoodies . The parade and rally were held to celebrate the Saskatchewan Roughriders 45-23 win over the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Sunday in the CFLs championship game. CLEVELAND -- The Browns have been bad, really bad, before. Theyve been inept, overmatched, impossible to watch, horribly, painfully, downright atrocious.Until now, theyd never been 0-10.I never could have dreamt this -- ever, first-year coach Hue Jackson said Friday, hours after Cleveland remained winless in 2016 with a nationally televised 28-7 loss at Baltimore . Its been tough. It might get tougher.Trying to win with a roster gutted by a front office eyeing next years draft and the future has been harder than Jackson imagined. Hes doing all he can with the NFLs youngest team, which could soon join the 2008 Detroit Lions as the only 0-16 squads in league history. The losing is testing Jackson. Hes proud and determined, but the losses are taking a toll.I am having to coach myself up, he said. This is different, but at the same time, I get it. I am in it. It is at my feet. I am not going to run from that. I do understand what the issues are and where we are and where we are going to go, but also, it has been tough. I have a good staff who stands behind me. I have an owner who has been unflinching. I have executives in the front office and they get it.Are we disappointed for where we are? Yeah, but I think we also understand what we have to do in order to get this changed. The Browns have dropped 13 straight since last season and will finish 2016 with their 14th double-digit loss season in 18 years. In a rebounding city thats home to the reigning NBA champion Cavaliers and the AL pennant-winning Indians, who just went to Game 7 of the World Series, the Browns are a civic shame.Even their dedicated fans are bailing on a franchise that cant seem to get anything right. FirstEnergy Stadium was overrun by Dallas fans last week. It wont be any different when Pittsburghs Terrible Towel-waving backers make the short drive from Western Pennsylvania on Nov. 20.While owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam arent happy, Jackson said they recognize there would be pain in growth. We all understand where we are, and it is disappointing, Jackson said on a conference call.dddddddddddd None of us want to be in this situation, and especially for our fans, we do not want that for them and our players, but this is where we are. This is our reality, so we have to fight our way out of it. All I can say to our fans is: hang with us. I have never been through this this way and it is new and different, I dont like it and we have to do something about it.I am very confident that we will.Jackson defended pulling rookie quarterback Cody Kessler in the second half Thursday and replacing him with Josh McCown. Jackson thought it was a chance to get a win and turned to McCown despite Kessler giving the Browns a 7-6 halftime lead.Jacksons decision backfired. McCown, under heavy pressure, was intercepted twice and sacked three times. Jackson met Friday with Kessler, who has shown improvement in seven starts. The quick turnaround from Sunday to Thursday was maybe more than Kessler could handle, but Jackson wasnt laying the loss on his young QB.When I look back at it now and had a chance to watch the tape, it is an offensive unit issue, he said. He is the quarterback and he will come back out here and get ready to fight against Pittsburgh. After facing the Steelers, the Browns next five games are against the New York Giants, Cincinnati, Buffalo, San Diego and Pittsburgh in the season finale. They have a welcomed bye week in there as well.Jackson knew wins would be hard to come by in his first season. He wasnt prepared that it would take so long to get one.For whatever reason, it hasnt gone the right way for us, he said. We have not had very many breaks as we have been through the season. That is a huge part of it, but at the same time, I dont think anybody wants to be in the situation we are in today.---For more NFL coverage: and Cheap Jerseys Store Discount NFL Jerseys Wholesale Authentic Jerseys Cheap Jerseys 2018 Wholesale Jerseys Free Shipping Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap Jerseys ' ' '
