Chargers selected him in the first round of the 2017 draft. The second-year wide receiver has three touchdowns and is averaging 17.2 yards per catch. He had his first two-touchdown game with four receptions for 81 yards in Sunday's 35-23 loss to the Rams ."His confidence is at an all-time high. He's looking good Marcus Peters Jersey ," coach Anthony Lynn said Monday. "Last year he was learning on the run because he wasn't practicing a lot. He has been really consistent for us so far."Williams, who is 6-foot-4 and 220 pounds, can be a matchup problem for opposing defenses when he is healthy. But he has battled injury problems two of the past three seasons.During his sophomore year at Clemson in 2015, Williams broke his neck when his head slammed into the padded base of the goal post after a touchdown. He missed six games last year due to back and knee injuries.Williams is hoping that this year mirrors what he did at Clemson in 2016, when he had 98 receptions for 1 David Long Los Angeles Rams Jerseys ,361 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead the Tigers to their second national championship. If the first three weeks are any indication, Williams has the potential for another bounce-back season. Both of his touchdowns against the Rams came despite tight windows to catch the ball. The 42-yard touchdown during the first quarter came while Marcus Peters was draped over him in coverage in the end zone on a go route. On Williams' second touchdown, which came during the third quarter, he caught the ball at the Rams 3 on an out route and was able to outmuscle Lamarcus Joyner to the end zone."I'm making the best of my opportunities. Every time the ball comes my way, I feel like something good comes from it Los Angeles Rams Jerseys 2019 ," Williams said.Williams is also showing a knack for making positive plays when he has the ball. All but one of his 11 receptions has been for a first down and four have gone for 20 yards or more. Williams' ability to move the chains is also a reason why he continues to gain more trust from Philip Rivers."He's come along. He's going to continue to do this," Rivers said. "He's only going to continue to be more and more of a factor for us."Williams is hoping to have another big game this week when the Chargers host the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners (1-2) come into the game with the fifth-worst pass defense in the league and will be without cornerback Richard Sherman (groin) as well as quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Sunday's 38-27 loss at Kansas City.Notes: Lynn said Monday that defensive end Joey Bosa will miss his fourth straight game due to a foot injury. Lynn has not shut the door on a possible return for offensive tackle Joe Barksdale. Barksdale suffered a knee injury in the Sept. 9 game against Kansas City and has missed the past two games. ... After watching the tape of the Rams game, Lynn put a lot of the blame on punter Drew Kaser for having his punt blocked in the end zone. Lynn said Kaser should not have taken a three-step drop and should have gotten rid of the ball sooner.Follow Joe Reedy at joereedy While most Rams fans probably agree with ESPN on this, the front office doesn’t seem too concerned." />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteTurf Show Timesa Los Angeles Rams communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpSectionsLibraryMastheadCommunity GuidelinesNFL OddsStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteSections 2019 offseason2019 free agency2019 NFL DraftFull ArchiveLibrary 2019 NFL calendar2019 Rams regular season sched2019 Rams preseason schedMasthead Community Guidelines NFL Odds StubHub ✕Filed under:2019 Los Angeles Rams Offseason2019 NFL Free AgencyESPN tabs edge rusher as biggest roster gap for Los Angeles Rams in 2019New David Long Jersey nfl draft ,35commentsWhile most Rams fans probably agree with ESPN on this, the front office doesn’t seem too concerned.CDTShareTweetShareShareESPN tabs edge rusher as biggest roster gap for Los Angeles Rams in 2019Photo by Harry How/Getty ImagesWith the 2019 NFL Draft officially behind us, the Los Angeles Rams have essentially made their major moves for the offseason and now fans can take a look at this roster and build up their expectations for the upcoming season. I put together my updated holes for the roster last week making the point that after the draft the Rams still had holes with the depth along the offensive line and lacking pass rushers. It appears that Rams General Manager Les Snead and company were more worried about the run defense and made their moves with that in mind. This week, Football Outsiders released their biggest roster holes for all 32 NFL teams and agreed with part of my assessment of the roster: The hand-wringing about the effectiveness of the pass rushers on the Rams moving forward really depends on what you think about LB Clay Matthews. He turns 33-years old next week. And while he did play 16 games last year, his production plummeted with a career-low 3.5 sacks. Will a homecoming back to LA and a chance to reinvigorate his USC roots help him conjure up bigger stats? I believe Matthews will be fine as long as he’s thought of as an experienced role player and not a guy that’s going to be consistently blowing up plays and scaring the hell out of quarterbacks. But what about the rest of the linebackers on the team? What did FO think of them? Well Youth David Long Jersey , not much:This is going to sound like an extremely” homer take,” but judging the productivity of LB Samson Ebukam and LB Dante Fowler Jr. by their sack totals really misses the point and only reveals a fraction of what they’re doing during the game. Granted, Ebukam still has question marks about whether he should be a starter going into the season, but his sacks shouldn’t be the arbiter of that discussion. It’s his health. He had surgery in March for a knee injury that will keep him out of the Rams’ offseason program so we won’t really see him on the field until training camp. So as the Los Angeles Rams conduct their workouts throughout the offseason, it’ll be interesting to see how this position of need unfolds. Will any rookies step up? Will guys like LB Justin Lawler or DL John Franklin-Myers show up to compete for time on the edge? And will Matthews prove that age is just a number? We have the rest of the summer to hopefully get some good answers.
