With four weekends left in the regular Antworten

EAGAN Irv Smith Minnesota Vikings Jerseys , Minn. (AP) — season, two NFL teams have already fired their coaches. Several other underperforming clubs have dismissed assistants. The coaching carousel is in full spin, the unsettling part of these high-pressure, intensely scrutinized jobs.“I hate this time of year,” Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator John DeFilippo said, lamenting the way families of fired coaches are subjected to the upheaval. “I was one of those kids. I grew up this way. So I’m a little bit sensitive to it, OK?”His father, Gene DeFilippo, was a college assistant coach who moved into administration and was the athletic director at Villanova and Boston College. Those roles and eras were different than calling plays in 2018 for the Vikings, sure, but the spotlight of big-time sports still exposed him to plenty of public disparagement.John DeFilippo has been a frequent target of that himself lately. The Vikings have been held under 300 total yards in three of their past four games, and they’re facing another daunting matchup on Monday night at Seattle. The hottest topic has been the run-pass imbalance, which even caused head coach Mike Zimmer to join the chorus of critics after the Vikings lost 24-10 last week at New England. Dalvin Cook rushed for 84 yards, but he only had nine carries. DeFilippo said on Friday after practice that he pointed out “two or three” plays in the game against the Patriots where he should have called a run instead of a pass.“Coach and I are in constant communication of how to make this offense better. We talk all the time,” said DeFilippo, who’s in his first season with the Vikings after serving as quarterbacks coach for Philadelphia. “There’s certain things that he believes in and that I believe in as well.”Despite the recent struggles by the Vikings (6-5-1) Minnesota Vikings Jerseys 2019 , who rank 16th in the league in yards and 18th in points, DeFilippo’s name is among the candidates already in full circulation on the NFL speculation circuit. One oddsmaker pegged him as the second-most likely replacement in Green Bay for fired head coach Mike McCarthy, trailing only Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels.“I’m pretty much in this building about 18 to 20 hours a day, so I don’t hear a lot of that outside noise, good or bad,” DeFilippo said.“So I’m just dead set on doing my job right now. We have a quarter of our season left that’s a very, very important quarter. For me to think of anything besides our football team would being a lot of people a disservice.”From quarterback Kirk Cousins to tight end Kyle Rudolph to wide receiver Adam Thielen, several of Minnesota’s offensive players have not been shy about publicly stating their evaluations of what’s gone wrong and what they believe are the best ways to make the process go right on a more consistent basis. More involvement for Cook has been mentioned often. Getting those screen passes going is another theory. Eschewing the huddle and employing more up-tempo possessions, too, has been given multiple thumbs-up.“There’s constant dialogue, and that’s every week, after every series,” Cousins said. “You’re trying to continue to stay on the same page.”Whatever the method, the offense is well aware of the burden it’s carrying into the final quarter of the season.“Obviously there’s some frustration on our side of the ball, knowing that our defense has played so well and we haven’t kind of pulled our end,” Thielen said Irv Smith Jersey Cheap , adding: “We just need to get back to who we are. We know we have the guys in the room to do it.” We take a look at what ESPN has to say" />Skip to main contentclockmenumore-arrownoyesHorizontal - WhiteDaily Norsemana Minnesota Vikings communityLog In or Sign UpLog InSign UpFanpostsFanshotsSectionsLibraryVikingsOddsShopAboutMastheadCommunity GuidelinesStubHubMoreAll 322 blogs on Horizontal - WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Vikings 2018 SeasonVikings 2019 OffseasonU.S. Bank StadiumMinnesota Vikings PodcastsFiled under:Fantasy FootballFantasy Football: Where are Minnesota Vikings players being ranked?New,20commentsWe take a look at what ESPN has to sayCDTShareTweetShareShareFantasy Football: Where are Minnesota Vikings players being ranked?Photo by Hannah Foslien/Getty ImagesWe’re getting closer. . .ever so slowly. . .to the start of the 2019 NFL season, which means that we’re getting close to the start of fantasy football season as well. Even though we’re still far enough out from the start of the season that we don’t know what impact potential injuries might have, we’re starting to see some rankings of players starting to trickle in, and we can start seeing where members of the Minnesota Vikings are being slotted. One set of rankings comes from Mike Clay over at ESPN, who gives us the 192 players that should be selected in your fantasy football draft. That number is based on a 12-team league where there are 16 rounds of selections, and he includes kickers and defenses as well (though you should never be drafting either of those all that early). Let’s see where he has the various members of the purple ranked, shall we?Despite the penchant for injury that he’s displayed over the past couple of years, Clay’s highest-ranked Viking is running back Dalvin Cook, who Clay has as his #11 running back and #21 overall player. As someone that took Dalvin Cook early in at least one league last year, I’ll say this is just about right. . .if he can play the majority of the games. Obviously, you can say that about a lot of players, but with Cook having missed over half of the Vikings’ games since he was drafted, the injury concerns are amplified. Both members of the Vikings’ outstanding receiving tandem find themselves in the third round range in Clay’s rankings. Adam Thielen is Clay’s WR12 and his 25th overall player, while Stefon Diggs is slightly below him at WR15 and #33 overall. Honestly, I’m not sure which of the two I would go with first in 2019 Irv Smith Jersey Womens , but I’d probably lean slightly toward Thielen, if for no other reason than Diggs being a slightly greater injury risk.Once you get past those three guys, it’s a long wait to find your next Viking, as you have to go all the way to #145 overall to find the Minnesota defense. Clay has the Zim Reapers as his #5 defense, which seems just about right. After that, we drop to #167 overall to find Kyle Rudolph, who is TE16 on Clay’s rankings. That makes him sort of a mid-range TE2, and though I’m probably a little biased, that seems a bit on the low side. I could be wrong, though.Kirk Cousins is also a backup in Clay’s rankings, as he’s down at QB20 and the 183rd-ranked player on Clay’s board. I’m not sure if this is a function of thinking that the Vikings are likely going to run the ball more in 2019 or what it might be, but this seems low to me as well.Alexander Mattison gets some love at #187 overall, largely because of Cook’s injury concerns and the fact that if Cook does go down again, Mattison is likely next in line to get the bulk of the carries. Those are all of the members of the Vikings that appear in Mike Clay’s early fantasy football rankings. Do you think that any of them are too high or too low?
