Seattle. When he toes the rubber August 7, it will mark three months to the day since the frightening incident. To make room on Antworten

Week 9 is another difficult one for fantasy owners with the Bears, Bengals, Cardinals, Patriots, Redskins and Texans on their bye. Since youll likely be delving a bit deeper into the depth charts, keep in mind that another eight teams still have their break coming up; four in Week 10 and another four in Week 11.If your roster is in good shape for this week, it doesnt hurt to think ahead. Here are some players to consider adding in Week 9:---SAM BRADFORD (QB, Vikings)If youre looking for a bye week substitute or streaming candidate at quarterback then Bradford is a solid choice. The Detroit Lions have allowed an average of 25.7 fantasy points per game to the quarterback position, third most in the NFL.CHARCANDRICK WEST (RB, Chiefs)Spencer Ware is in the leagues concussion protocol and Jamaal Charles is obviously not healthy. That leaves West to handle the primary running back duties. Ware owners should consider adding him for insurance but others should look elsewhere.ANTONE SMITH (RB, Buccaneers)If Jacquizz Rodgers is out and Doug Martin still isnt ready to play, then Smith will likely be the primary back instead of Peyton Barber. Since the game is on Thursday and the matchup is good, Smith may be worth a flier if your fantasy team is thin at running back.DERRICK HENRY (RB, Titans)DeMarco Murray has an injured toe that is being monitored this week. If Murray is limited or cannot play against the Chargers, Henry could see a significant bump in touches. The Chargers have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points to running backs, so Henry would be a nice play if he gets 20 or more touches.ROB KELLEY (RB, Redskins)Kelley rushed for 87 yards on 21 carries and scored a TD in Week 8, and he may have stolen the starting running back job from Matt Jones in the process. Washingtons schedule is tough after the bye but they have some very favorable matchups during the fantasy playoff weeks, making Kelley a good long-term addition if you have the roster space.TIM HIGHTOWER (RB, Saints)Mark Ingram has fallen out of favor with Saints head coach Sean Payton. Meanwhile, Hightower stole the show this past week with 26 carries for 102 yards. At the very least, Hightower has earned a notable spot in the running back committee that the Saints are likely to use going forward. That makes Hightower useful in good matchups like this week at San Francisco.C. J. PROSISE (RB, Seahawks)Prosise was on the field as often as Christine Michael this past week, and hes proven to be much better in the passing game than his counterpart. Thomas Rawls has already been ruled out for Week 9, so Prosise could again see plenty of action. At the very least, he should have some value in point-per-reception leagues.JAMISON CROWDER (WR, Redskins)Crowders been targeted heavily the last two games and was rewarded with over 100 receiving yards in both. The Redskins are on a bye this week, but Crowder should be rostered in all leagues as a favorite target of quarterback Kirk Cousins.QUINCY ENUNWA (WR, Jets)Enunwa has trouble staying healthy but hes healthy now and playing well. He led the Jets in targets and receiving yards in the Week 8 win against the Browns. Hes worth adding for the Week 9 matchup against the Dolphins, who have allowed eight touchdowns to wide receivers this season.J.J. NELSON (WR, Cardinals)It appears that Nelson has displaced Michael Floyd in the Cardinals three wide receiver sets after receiving 19 targets over the last two games. Carson Palmer likes Nelsons speed and ability to get separation downfield. Given some of the favorable matchups after the Week 9 bye, Nelson is a terrific speculative addition in PPR leagues.ERIC EBRON (TE, Lions)Ebron finally returned from the injury list and picked up right where he left off. Look for him to become a favorite of Matt Staffords in the red zone. If he was released on waivers in your league, pick him for use in some very favorable matchups later in the season.CAMERON BRATE (TE, Buccaneers)Brate seems to do best when quarterback Jameis Winston has more than 30 pass attempts. The Bucs play the Falcons in Week 9, a team thats allowed five touchdowns to tight ends this season. There are more favorable matchups ahead so Brate is worth adding if you have a need at tight end.---This column was provided to The Associated Press by the Fantasy Sports Network, Cheap Nike NFL Jerseys China . -- PGA TOUR Canada member Steve Saunders took a three-stroke lead Saturday in the Web. General manager Alex Anthopoulos certainly couldnt have envisioned such a conversation so early, if at all this year, but with his team in another tailspin rooted in poor starting pitching and shoddy fundamentals, its his reality. “I dont know that we have the answer right now,” said Anthopoulos when pressed on his clubs defensive play. “We continue to work at it and hopefully its going to improve. The same way as everybody was talking about Brett (Lawrie) and how he was struggling to swing the bat. You work with him, hes starting to turn it around a little bit and hopefully it continues.” Entering Sundays play, the Blue Jays 78 errors ranked fourth most in baseball. Errors can be calculated but they dont tell the whole story. A boxscore doesnt show the number of times opposition runners have taken extra bases because an outfielder has thrown to the wrong base or on how many occasions the Jays havent turned the routine double play because of a bobble or double clutch. Anthopoulos says the club is “looking at everything” it can do to improve, including rethinking its spring training approach. The belief that a predominantly veteran core could go out, get its work done and then check out hasnt produced results. Then again, it could simply come down to the players. “Sometimes guys change defensively and its hard to tell why theyre not the defenders they once were,” said Anthopoulos. “I think it comes down, sometimes, to having the players on the field that are plus defensive players.” The starting rotation and second base top the list of positions in need of upgrade. There are internal options for the former if the Jays count on some combination of the return to health of Brandon Morrow, Drew Hutchison and Kyle Drabek, Ricky Romero bouncing back, or the emergence of youngsters like Marcus Stroman and Sean Nolin. Mark Buehrle garnered praise from Anthopoulos and the general manager believes R.A. Dickey, if he puts it all together, can resemble version 2012 more than what hes provided the Blue Jays so far. The waters Josh Johnson is swimming in get murkier by the start. Its not out of the question that another blow up in his next start, Tuesday in Seattle, could forrce him out of the rotation.dddddddddddd “Right now hes scheduled to make his next start but theres no question its been about six starts where he has been getting hit,” said Anthopoulos. “I know hes working hard and hes not making any excuses at all, he continues to battle.” “But its something we continue to talk about. We have to look at alternatives at some point if this continues. Its really start to start at this point. Its really the only way to characterize it. Right now, hes going to make one more start and well see how he does but well continue to evaluate it each time.” Anthopoulos flexibility will be dependent upon the emergence of young talent. The Blue Jays have almost $110-million committed to 12 players next season and with the likes of Colby Rasmus, J.P. Arencibia and others due for salary arbitration, the cost of doing business will increase. “Ownership was aware, and ownership understood where the commitments would be going forward and they green-lighted everything,” said Anthopoulos. “So from a financial standpoint, the resources will be available for us. It wont mean we wont change some things and reallocate money as you do any time. Its not like those contracts are sneaking up on us.” Anthopoulos assures club ownership hasnt been spooked by the Blue Jays disappointing season and remains committed to maintaining one of the leagues higher payrolls.“What I would say is that we wont be going backwards,” he said. “Thats not in the plan at all. What the number is is developed at the end of the season. Thats our conversations with Paul (Beeston) but the understanding is that we will be able to financially handle those contracts so that was why we were able to do the deals. That was a big part of our discussions. 2013 was going to be fine. It was ‘14 and beyond. Everyone was aware of that. Ownership was aware and thats not going to be an issue." Happ to Return Left-hander J.A. Happ, who went on the disabled list in May after being hit in the head by a line drive, will be activated in time to make Wednesdays start in Seattle. When he toes the rubber August 7, it will mark three months to the day since the frightening incident. To make room on the active roster, reliever Steve Delabar was placed on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his pitching shoulder. Delabar is eligible to come off the DL on August 18.
