Qingdao's Luo Xudong hit a jumper to put his team ahead 111-109 with 4.3 seconds to go, while Liaoning still had the chance to drag the game into overtime, as their pillar post player Han Dejun was fouled by his counterpart Hamed Ehadadi with 1.1 seconds remaining.

"The first half was to blame for the loss, when we had poor defense and didn't concentrate a lot," said Guo Shiqiang, Liaoning's head coach.
